The second CLIP 2 networking event took place on April 26 – 27, with representatives from both, the implementing partners and GIZ, reflecting upon the past five months since the first networking meeting. Presentations and lively discussions were held in various workshop formats throughout the one and a half days facilitating a mid-term review of the peer support network. Reflections included the cultural dynamics of a network, advancements made in the first phase of the mentorship program and ways to move forward to scale up its impact in the next phase. The networking meeting also offered a space for the implementing partners to discuss common challenges they face in the field and project work. Overall, there was a strong interest expressed from all sides to further intensify cooperation efforts between the bundles, thematic mentors as well as Afghan response partners.
CLIP 2 Peer Support Network provides a framework for efficient collaboration amongst CLIP 2 partners of different size and capacities and constitutes a sustainable mechanism through which NGOs can work together, get capacitated, establish referral pathways, increase their credibility, and are enabled to receive (national and international) funding in future. The network is planned to be scaled up in future in such a way that it becomes interesting for other actors to buy-in or to take over completely so that it can run independently.
