Afghanistan Hazaras Culture and Solidarity Association (AHCSA) organised a cleanup activity on the coast of Trabzon Ortahisar district, promoting the themes clean environment and healthy living. Along the coastal path, asylum seekers, migrants and the host community members collected trash, leaving behind a clean environment.

The event, which aimed to raise awareness about the issue of solid waste in our waterways provided an environment to foster social cohesion by bringing together refugees and migrants and host community members. AHCSA president Muhammet Gül conveyed the following message to the participants: “We can make our world livable by keeping the environment we live in clean, we can serve our world by keeping our neighbourhood, district, city and country clean“.

Caritas and IBC International Blue Crescent Foundation also supported the coastal cleanup.
