International Blue Crescent Relief and Development (IBC), in cooperation with the Development Foundation of Türkiye (TKV), supported child rights awareness through creative expression at the Kilis Community Center. 

The session titled “Draw the Child of Your Dreams: Child Rights and the Role of Parenting” brought participants together to reflect on the environmental, cultural, and parental factors shaping children’s development. Discussions highlighted the critical role that adult perspectives and attitudes play in this process.

Through the interactive “Child of My Dreams” activity, participants questioned unconscious stereotypes and expectations placed on girls and boys. The drawings opened space for reflection on how these attitudes influence children’s lives and futures.

The session once again emphasized that raising children as equal, free, and happy individuals begins with adult awareness and self-reflection.
