The ARSCA Association was founded in 2014 by journalists, doctors, academics, architects, and humanitarian workers as an independent rights-based CSO.
ARSCA is active in fields of social assistance, nonformal education (vocational and language courses for adults and children) and social cohesion activities as well as psychosocial support, protection, translation, counselling and advocacy to support refugees and asylum seekers for basic needs as well as access to rights and services.
About the project
The project aims at raising awareness among refugee communities to deal with lack of information in the field and to increase their access to fundamental rights and existing services. It has objective to facilitate intercultural exchange and closer communication between host communities and refugees in Kayseri.
Within the scope of the project, consultancy and information provision services will be provided for vulnerable individuals, while service maps and referral mechanisms will be generated. Information on available services will be provided both verbally and through brochures/flyers/booklets and formal/informal community meetings. Individual interviews, including consultancy and information services on social and legal issues, will be conducted by case workers and social workers. Depending on the status and sensitivity of the cases, referrals will be made to relevant local service providers.
