The Association of Freedom and Equality for Woman (KÖVED) was established in Adana in 2015 with the initiative of seventeen entrepreneurs. Most of its members are lawyers, academicians and teachers. It aims to carry out activities to eliminate discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation and to ensure gender equality.

About the project
The overall objective of the project is to support and protect the fundamental rights of vulnerable refugees/asylum-seekers, migrants and host community members in Van province to increase their access to available social services and assistance, including registration and legal aid/solutions and to increase the access of the most vulnerable individuals to social assistance.
The project aims to improve the well-being of vulnerable people in target communities through organised collective social response and by offering protection services and supporting those concerned in accessing available services, assistance and exercising their rights. This project will enable the most vulnerable refugees/asylum seekers, irregular migrants and host community members to be identified, assessed, supported and linked to existing protection, social services and legal aid/solutions. KÖVED will provide protection services, PSS and social cohesion services, including individual protection assistance, legal advice and support (providing access to legal aid) in Van.
