Mavi Kalem works for the empowerment of women and children, their access to fundamental rights and services, rights-oriented support for the population affected by disasters and emergencies, and the implementation of international humanitarian aid principles. For 20 years, it has been carrying out activities in the light of the principles of child safety, gender sensitivity and gender equality. It ensures the quality of work by bringing together different disciplines and expertise. It carries out community-based awareness-raising and empowerment activities in different fields, through a participatory approach, by involving target groups in the development of activities.
Mavi Kalem is active in Istanbul and Kocaeli regions. Through its free hotline, it provides counselling services to beneficiaries from all over Türkiye in line with their needs within the scope of the work of MK.
