Mavi Kalem Association, under the CLIP 2 Project, continues its efforts to support women in accessing their fundamental rights and services. Türkmen national Sehra and her children, referred to the Women’s Counseling Center by Esenyurt Municipality Migration Services Unit, successfully rebuilt their lives with the support they received.
Sehra’s story revealed significant challenges, as she had been unable to access essential services due to the lack of a residence permit. The Women’s Counseling Center provided the following support:
- Legal assistance for filing a residence permit application.
- Help with document preparation and petition drafting.
- Accompaniment during official procedures.
- Psychological support for Sehra and her children.
As a result, Sehra obtained a humanitarian residence permit and gained legal status. This status enables her and her children to access healthcare, education, social aid, and job opportunities.
Sehra’s words:
“After a long struggle, gaining legal status has been a new beginning for me and my children. I am deeply grateful to the Women’s Counseling Center team for their support throughout this process.”
