The second module of the Disaster Awareness Training, organized through the collaboration of SEVKAR and SADA Collective, was carried out with a focus on increasing preparedness and awareness regarding emergency situations. The training aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge on how to respond effectively during disasters such as earthquakes and fires.
During the first part of the programme, common mistakes made during emergencies and the risks they may create were discussed, while participants were informed about correct intervention methods and essential safety measures. The sessions highlighted the importance of remaining calm and acting consciously during crisis situations, contributing to increased awareness and self-confidence among participants.
The practical section of the training introduced participants to the contents of an emergency preparedness kit and included a hands-on demonstration on the proper use of fire extinguishers. Through these activities, participants gained practical information on the effective use of emergency equipment during disaster situations.
The event concluded with breathing exercises designed to support stress management and psychological resilience.
At the end of the training, participants emphasized that the knowledge they gained would not only support their individual preparedness, but also help raise awareness within their own communities.
