The Cappadocia Women’s Solidarity Association (CWSA) was founded in 2006 as a feminist organisation along with a group of women activists to promote and strengthen the human rights of women and children and has been carrying out studies on violence against women, women’s health, women’s participation in politics, women’s employment, combating early marriages, support to asylum seekers and refugee women on voluntary basis.
About the project
The overall objective of the project is to engage in activities to improve the provision of needs-based services for women and children from refugee and local communities in Nevşehir.
The project aims at engaging in activities to improve the provision of services to refugee and host women and children particularly in cases of violence, while contributing to the improvement of their capacity to cope with social and cultural difficulties such as social adaptation. Social peace, cohesion and gender equality are at the heart of the work of CWSA.
