About the project

The primary goal of the project is to facilitate social cohesion among host and Syrian communities by improving the wellbeing of Syrian refugees through various protection services and by creating social interaction possibilities for the members of the host community.

Activities at the Esenler Centre aim to provide Syrian refugees with the necessary information and support to integrate social life by accessing available basic services, by learning more about Istanbul and its culture, its administration and social features. By the end of the project, refugees and the host community will further develop mutual understanding, respect, solidarity and trust, building on self-reliance and active participation in Istanbul.
